Welcome to Hopes Float
Imagine living in Colorado and not
being able to take advantage of the many recreational
activities that our state offers. This happens on a
daily basis for many disabled, disadvantaged youth,
adults and elderly along the Front Range of Colorado.
Hopes Float Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)
established in 2006.
Our goal is to provide an engaging, fun and
accessible fishing experience for the elderly and
disabled community along the Front Range of Colorado.
Individuals and
groups have contacted the Colorado Division of Wildlife
looking for such an opportunity. There is no project of
this kind along the Front Range of Colorado.

Our project consists
of a 25 foot pontoon boat with a 115 HP motor. The boat
has been modified for use by the disabled community.
These modifications included removing the standard
seats, and installing wheelchair locks and drop in
seats. The boat can now accommodate 4 wheelchair clients
and their families. With the drop in seats in place, we
can provide 6 fishing stations. In addition, a ramp has
been installed to facilitate the loading and unloading
of wheelchair clients.
The boat is in use from May
to September of each year, depending on the weather. We
supply 3 to 4 person crews who are available either
weekdays or weekends, depending on the demand. The boat
is stored in Longmont, CO, and can be transported to any
lake along the Front Range of Colorado.
